The great variety of courses offered by universities makes it difficult for a person to decide on the ‘right’ university and the ‘right’ course of study. But what should you bear in mind when choosing a future degree course? Primarily, the choice of degree should depend on personal talents, skills and interests. In addition, the course of study should be oriented to the practical demands of companies or business sectors. That is the only way in which the graduate can start a career quickly and successfully and avoid the shock when becoming a normal employee.

Practically oriented studies with a future

Studying at the EBC University involves especially a high degree of practical orientation through internships and practical projects and internationalism through foreign-language orientation, including the communication of cross-cultural competence – also outside Germany. At our officially recognised university, our students complete an internship either in Germany or abroad after the second semester and another internship abroad after the fourth semester. In these internships, the knowledge acquired is put into practice and students start thinking about the special subjects they will take later.

International study – Certain correlations

Becoming familiar with practical working methods, also in international, foreign-language contexts, makes it easier for students to decide on a future area of work. It is also essential for a constant exchange between companies and university and thus for practically oriented courses which are required by the business world. The orientation to the international market is reinforced by a semester abroad at one of the many institutions cooperating with the EBC University. In all special subjects, academic training is offered which focuses on acting responsibly in the global network of economic systems. And we wish to enhance and promote your personal potential through our coaching concept.

Development of Soft Skills

Soft Skills such as cross-cultural competences and presentation techniques are also important subjects at the EBC University. Moreover, our students should be encouraged to develop an understanding for the complex aspects of sustainability and ethics. However, the integration of internships and projects should not lead to a prolongation of the period of study.
