Leisure & Culture

Berlin. How should you describe this city? It is called a metropolis and named in the same breath as New York, Paris and London. Berlin is fascinating and attracts more and more people every year, although you often meet Berliners with their famous ´Schnauze´ (a very direct and brash way of talking) and the city is fast and hectic. Nevertheless, each person can find ´his´ or ´her´ Berlin here. »Each person has his or her own personal association with the city: the famous ´Museum Island´, Charlottenburg Palace, the leisure and recreational parks, the Planetaria or trotting courses, the numerous cultural events, lectures and readings or the ´in´ places, loud and provocative. The constant temptation to discover something new and the realisation of being always in some way in a state of transition belong to the way of life in this city« (Source: www.berlin.de)
