CESINE University Center, Spain
The CESINE University Center is located in Santander, the capital of Cantabria in the north of the Iberian Hablinsel. The city is a popular seaside resort in northern Spain, whose numerous sandy beaches are an attraction for many, mostly Spanish tourists.
The fact that CESINE is among the top international rankings expresses the outstanding commitment and ability of the university to adapt to change and effectively support individuals and organizations in achieving their results.
CESINE supports international students in their search for internships and has concluded cooperation agreements with over 1,100 companies.

The evaluation methods are discussed in the respective courses at the beginning of the semester. These can be, for example, homework, participation, attendance, oral or written examinations.

For an Erasmus application, please submit your documents to the International Office by the following deadlines:
31/01 for the winter semester
31/05 for the summer semester
Please note that the deadlines for the partner universities vary - it can take a long while before you hear anything from the partner university.
Studies in English are possible.
For studies in Spanish: Good to very good knowledge of Spanish.
International students must take an IQ test and a language test before the start of the semester. CESINE sends the two tests directly to the students.
The tuition fees amount to a total of approx. 2,350€. You pay these directly to the host university.
The fees for the International Internship Programme (study + internship) amount to approx. 4000€.
Learning Agreement (LA)
Along with your application, you submit a Learning Agreement (LA) on which you enter courses or modules amounting to at least 20 ECTS credits that you would like to take. In Europe, the number and creditworthiness of the courses varies, so make sure you get precise information. The International Office and the Dean's Office will confirm your selection and ask for corrections if necessary. The LA is the basis for the recognition of courses at the EBC University and is therefore binding.
Transcript of Records
Your Transcript of Records, the semester abroad, proves that you have successfully completed the course. The average of your achievements is converted according to the modified Bavarian formula. 20 ECTS are hereby recognised and are included in the overall grade of your studies. At least 20 ECTS must be successfully completed during the semester abroad for recognition at the EBC University.
Citizens of EU member states do not need a visa to enter Spain. All other countries must apply for a visa before departure in order to enter Spain. This can be applied for at the Spanish embassy or consulate in your home country.
Accommodation: 180€ - 300€ / month
Public transport: 25€ - 30€ / month
Meal expenses: approx. 150€ / month
