Finances

Tuition fees

EBC students receive a reduced tuition fee from Griffith College, which is €2,300 if they book a place in the student residence at the same time. You will have to pay extra for this.

If you decide to look for an apartment yourself and not live in the Griffith College dormitory, you will pay an extra €2,500.

The tuition fees are paid directly to the host university.

Recognition

Credits
At least 20 ECTS must be successfully completed during the semester abroad for recognition at the EBC Hochschule.

Learning Agreement (LA)
With your application you submit a Learning Agreement (LA) on which you enter courses or modules of at least 20 ECTS which you would like to take. The number of credits per course varies between countries and universities, so make sure you get precise information. The International Office and the Dean's Office will confirm your choice and ask for corrections if necessary. The LA is the basis for the recognition of courses at the EBC Hochschule and is therefore binding.

Transcript of Records (ToR)
Your Transcript of Records, the semester abroad, proves that you have successfully completed the course. You present the original transcript to the International Office after the semester abroad.

Conversion
The average of your performances is converted according to the modified Bavarian formula. 20 ECTS are hereby recognised and are included in the overall grade of your studies. You can find more detailed information about the conversion here.
