Paris School of Business, France

Studying in Paris with ERASMUS!
The Paris School of Business is a private, accredited university with a main campus in the centre of Paris and is therefore a popular destination for incoming students. Another campus is located in Rennes. With almost 3,000 students and over 75 nationalities, the PSB is consciously oriented towards an international context. Paris is one of the largest cities in Europe with about 8 million inhabitants and lives from its cultural diversity and beauty. However, students should be prepared for high living costs (see finances).

Here you will find a brochure with lots of information about living and studying in Paris.

Academic Year

The academic year at the PSB is divided into two semesters.

Fall Semester: September until January

Spring Semester: January until June

Please note that each program/track can start differently and therefore the courses can be distributed differently over the semester. Some courses only run until December, others until January, etc.

31/05 for the summer semester

Please note that the deadlines vary between partner universities - it may take a while before you hear from the partner university.

Good knowledge of English or French (B2 level)

Application Process

We have an ERASMUS partnership with the PSB and a certain number of exchange places per semester. You can apply for these places.

The ERASMUS application procedure is divided into two steps:

Step 1: Application to the EBC University

You apply to us for a place at university and for the ERASMUS scholarship. Please register at the International Office and hand in the following documents:

  • Letter of motivation in English (one page maximum); include up to two alternative ERASMUS partners in the last paragraph of your cover letter, in which you would be interested if we had to cancel your first request.
  • Performance record of the EBC University (via the virtual campus)

The best applications will be selected from all applicants of the EBC University, it counts academic achievements, language skills and the quality of your motivation letter, in which you show that you have dealt with your desired university.

We will inform the successful students by email and ask them to explicitly accept their place. If you accept the place, we will nominate you at the partner university and only then will you apply with the regular application documents for the university, see step 2.

If you have received a rejection, you will automatically be placed in the procedure for moving up to the alternative universities of your choice or we will endeavour to offer you an alternative. We will then send you an offer by email. Once you have accepted the offer, we will nominate you with the partner and only then will you apply to this university with the appropriate documents (see step 2 below).

Step 2: Application to the PSB

After the EBC University has nominated you at the PSB, you will receive an e-mail from the PSB with the link to the online application. You have to fill it in and upload the following documents as pdf files:

  • Passport photo
  • Current proof of performance
  • Language certificate (see Prerequisites)
  • Passport copy
  • Confirmation of international health insurance for the duration of your stay in France (see Insurance)

Please also submit the following documents to the IO:

  • Learning Agreement (the Erasmus Learning Agreement will be sent to you by the International Office upon successful nomination at the partner university)

At least 20 ECTS must be successfully completed during the semester abroad for recognition at the EBC Hochschule.

Learning Agreement (LA)
Along with your application, you submit a Learning Agreement (LA) on which you enter courses or modules amounting to at least 20 ECTS credits that you would like to take. The Erasmus Learning Agreement will be sent to you by the International Office upon successful nomination at the partner university.

The number of credits per course varies between the countries and universities, please inform yourself precisely. The International Office will confirm your selection and ask for any necessary corrections. The LA is the basis for the recognition of courses at the EBC Hochschule and is therefore binding.

Transcript of Records (ToR)
Your Transcript of Records, the semester abroad, proves that you have successfully completed the course. You present the original transcript to the International Office after completing the semester abroad.

The average of your performances is converted according to the modified Bavarian formula. 20 ECTS are hereby recognised and are included in the overall grade of your studies.

You can find more detailed information about the conversion here.

The following information is subject to changes, as visa requirements may change. Before applying for a visa, be sure to visit the website of the French embassy and find out about the exact and current conditions!

Citizens of EU member states do not need a visa to enter France. All other countries must apply for a visa before departure in order to enter France. You can apply for a visa at the French embassy or consulate in your home country. We recommend an early application, as experience has shown that the processing time can be quite long and documents with a French translation may be required.

Costs can vary between €500 and €1,000, depending on whether the accommodation is furnished or not. • Already a student at the PSB: Log in to the intranet and click on the "Housing Platform" option.
  • Candidate: You can also register on the platform without intranet access.
