Description
The State University of Schota Rustaweli is a university in the southwest Georgian town of Batumi. The university exists in its present form since 1990 and emerged from the former Pedagogical Institute Batumi, which was founded in 1945. Today it consists of five faculties with about 5,000 students.

Recognition
Credits
At least 20 ECTS must be successfully completed during the semester abroad for recognition at the EBC Hochschule.
Learning Agreement (LA)
Along with your application, you submit a Learning Agreement (LA) on which you enter courses or modules amounting to at least 20 ECTS credits that you would like to take. The Erasmus Learning Agreement will be sent to you by the International Office upon successful nomination at the partner university.
The number of credits per course varies between the countries and universities, please inform yourself about it. The International Office and the Dean's Office will confirm your selection and ask for corrections if necessary. The LA is the basis for the recognition of courses at the EBC Hochschule and thereby has binding force.
Transcript of Records (ToR)
Your Transcript of Records, the semester abroad, proves that you have successfully completed the course. You present the original transcript to the International Office after the semester abroad.
Conversion
The average of your performances is converted according to the modified Bavarian formula. 20 ECTS are hereby recognised and are included in the overall grade of your studies.

Visa
Since June 2015, Georgia has reintroduced visa-free entry for German citizens for stays of up to one year. This regulation was not abolished until 1.9.2014.
However, for stays based on self-employment or employment, studies/training or family reunion, it is still possible to issue a long-term visa (category D), which is also a prerequisite for the subsequent acquisition of a residence permit.
The application for a D visa must be submitted to a diplomatic or consular mission of Georgia in Germany at least 45 days before entry.

The visa is issued for a period of validity of 90 days and is a prerequisite for the subsequent issue of a Georgian residence permit by a Georgian domestic authority (Public Service Hall, branches in all major cities of the country).
