Study in the Hanseatic city, in a central location and directly on the Inner Alster

Studying in Hamburg means being part of a lively city by the water; with its many open green spaces and more bridges than Venice, it is also the second largest city in Germany. You can relax on the banks of the river Elbe, but you can also enjoy nights out on the famous Reeperbahn. Whether you’re interested in internationally known museums and galleries, theatre and musicals or prestigious restaurants, you will find them all in Hamburg. The port of the Hanseatic city is its ‘Gateway to the World’ for Hamburg enjoys an international reputation as the economic capital of the north.

The campus of EBC University of Applied Sciences is located directly on the Esplanade, tucked in between the Baseler Hof hotel and the Hofbräuhaus. Our EBC students benefit from light seminar rooms, a pleasant cafeteria and a well-organised library. The roof terrace is a particularly attractive feature which students can take advantage of on sunny days. The underground station, the Alster lake and various cafes are close by.

At EBC University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg it is usual to get to know the teaching staff and discuss things with them, which is quite different from the anonymity of state universities. This personal learning atmosphere means students have really individualised support throughout their studies. Because of the significant number of influential companies who have their headquarters in Hamburg, EBC students have the possibility, at an early stage in their studies, to establish useful contacts.
