International Business Management B.A. – English Track

Why International Business Management>

The dream of a job abroad – increasing globalisation offers young business graduates professional opportunities abroad. In multinational firms in Germany, too, the international aspect plays an increasingly significant role.

If you want to gain international work experience, then a course in business studies with an international focus is the ideal basis for an international career.

Our International Business Management course, with its sound training in economics and foreign language training throughout the course, prepares you in the best possible way for management challenges in international markets.

Course content>

On our International Business Management course you will learn to plan management processes and tasks in a focused way and adapt them to international contexts. You will acquire skills that will enable you to analyse and assess international market opportunities and related economic issues.

During your integrated period of study and work experience abroad you will come into contact with a range of different cultural contexts and learn how to deal with them. As well as business English, we will help you develop one further foreign language. You can choose from French, Spanish and Chinese.

There is complete flexibility when it comes to choosing the focus of your studies. You can decide to specialise in one of the six compulsory subjects: »Social Media and Branding«, »Financial Markets and Financial Asset Valuation«, »Human Resource Management«, »Value Chain and Business Intelligence Tools«, »Digital Marketing«, »Special Topics in Corporate Finance« and »Corporate Communication and PR«.

A hands-on approach>

Your course has a practical focus from beginning to end. You will work in teams on a wide range of projects with our partner organisations or take part in regular field trips or presentations that enable you to get to know various companies and to establish first contacts with company managers.

And if you want to start up your own business once you have finished your course we can provide you with all the right tools to do this. Your first important step towards setting up your own business will be creating your own business plan.

With the many opportunities at EBC University of Applied Sciences for hands-on experience you will be able to use your theoretical knowledge in a practical work context. You will gain professional experience, which will make the move into your first job easier.

Study in an international context>

You will have the first experience of the international character of your course as soon as you arrive at your EBC campus in Berlin, Düsseldorf or Hamburg. Not only does the course content have an international focus but the atmosphere on campus does, too, with many students coming from abroad.

You can decide whether you want to take the International Business Management course in English. We offer the Bachelor degree course in International Business Management entirely in English or German. However, in the 5th and 6th semesters the lectures are all given in English.

During your integrated study and work experience abroad you will appreciate the full significance of the international nature of your studies. You will improve your foreign languages, work in international teams and gain intercultural skills.

There are no limits as to where you can choose to go.  With the Erasmus + programme, which most European universities belong to, you can also take advantage of financial support.

We the team>

Study in a personal and pleasant atmosphere – not just the small groups of up to 30 students but also individual contact with professors and lecturers will contribute to an enjoyable learning atmosphere on campus.

»We« is a key word at EBC University of Applied Sciences. We see ourselves as one big team of professors, lecturers and fellow students helping each individual to achieve his or her aims.

Together we challenge our students and develop their individual strengths.

Come and be part of our team!
